So I wanted to enhance my woodworking skills. Why not sign up for a class with Wood Craft. First I took a Router class, which was about safety mostly and not really showing how to use the tool, lame. Then I signed up for a 6 week ‘build a night stand’ class. Our instructor was Merlin, who had years of experience. Let me tell you, the quickest way to learn to respect the machine is to experience a kick-back on the table saw! Oh yeah….it could have been much worse, but we survived with a bruised ego, got the wind knocked out of me and a cool scar to the panel I was pushing through. I chose poplar because I knew I was going to paint it. Glad it’s done and I can move on to another project. The tools I got to work with were: joiner, planer, table saw, biscuit joiner, sander and the router. I had to build the drawer too. And line up the handle.
